Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, 25 May 1905 was born in the mansion of his grandfather Mehmed Hilmi Efendi. This information is obtained from Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's autobiography '' O and Me '' which he wrote himself. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek's real name is Ahmed Necip. His father, Abdülbaki Fazıl Bey, was educated at Mekteb-i Hukuk, the law faculty of the period, and served in different positions. Her mother is Mediha Hanım. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek is Maraşlı by his father.
Necip Fazıl Kısakürek learned to read and write by his grandfather Mehmed Hilmi Bey. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek 's education life is a bit complicated. He started his education in the French school in Gedikpaşa and continued his education in the American School, Büyükdere Emin Efendi Neighborhood School, Büyük Reşid Paşa Numune School and Vaniköy Rehber-i İttihad Schools respectively.
He graduated from Heybeliada Numune School last year and registered to Heybeliada Navy School in the same year. After five years of education, he did not graduate and upon this he enrolled in the Philosophy Department of Istanbul Darülfünun in 1921. But he could not complete his education here. With the scholarship granted by the Ministry of National Education, he took the road to Paris, France. There he continued his education at the Sorbonne Department of Philosophy.
Necip Fazıl Kısakürek did not have a proper student life in Paris. He has found himself in art and entertainment. upon discontinuation of grants received from the State has returned to Turkey.
After returning back to Turkey and started to work at the Dutch Bahr-i Sefit Bank. Afterwards, he worked in Ceyhan, Istanbul and Giresun branches of Ottoman Bank. He then worked at İşbank for nine years.
In 1939, Hasan Ali Yücel, who was the Minister of National Education at the time, was appointed to the Ankara State Conservatory as a faculty member. She has been assigned by the Ministry to teach at the Istanbul Academy of Fine Arts. He also taught at Robert College, where he ended his career as a civil servant in 1942. He continued to earn a living from the articles he wrote.
He continued to write for Büyük Doğu Magazine, which he founded. He has also published articles and articles in daily newspapers such as Haber and Son Telegram. Necip Fazıl Kısakürek preferred to use a lot of nicknames in his writings. Ahmet Abdülbaki, Ne Fe-Ka and Ozanbaşı are some of them.
Necip Fazıl Kısakürek 25 May 1983 on Erenköy2 in his own house has died in life. He was buried in Eyüp Sultan Cemetery with a big funeral.

Art Life

According to the records, the first poem of Necip Fazıl Kısakürek is the '' Inscription '' which was published in Yeni Mecmua in July 1923. This poem was later included in his book 'Spider Web ıyla under the name Bir A Grave Stone'. Until 1939, many of his poems and stories continued to be published in magazines such as Yeni Mecmua, Milli Mecmua, Hayat, Anadolu and Varlık, and Cumhuriyet newspaper. Especially in Hayat magazine, his works have attracted attention and attracted attention.

Necip Fazıl Kısakürek, who started his literary life with a syllable measure, gave a special meaning to syllable poetry with his original expressions. The pathetic, poignant feeling and psychological depth in his works are the most remarkable elements of the poet. The characteristics of both literary and philosophical movements are very common in his poems.
The overriding theme of his poems has been fear. And the theme of fear is clearly seen in the Pavements poem, which makes him known as the Poet of Sidewalks.
