Goethe-Zertifikats B1: By passing the Zertifikat Deutsch (ZD) exam, you can prove that you have a solid basic knowledge of the German language and that you can express yourself in every important aspect of everyday life. The exam corresponds to the third stage of the six-level competence rating (B1) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

For example,
you can understand in detail the important information in daily speeches, public announcements and radio news,
you can fully understand the important information in statistics and daily life descriptions in newspaper texts,
write private or semi-official messages, such as letters or e-mails,
give a simple conversation about a topic that interests you personally, briefly express your opinion and respond appropriately to the opinion of the person you are talking to,
you can give information about something, suggest something, or decide something in everyday life situations.
