German Satzfrage German Question Clauses Video Lesson in Preparation for A1 Exam

In this lesson, we will examine the subject of German Satzfrage, German Question Clauses. Question sentences, which are also an important issue in terms of preparation for the A1 Exam, are frequently used in daily life. Simple question sentences can often be easily obtained by replacing a few items in a straight sentence.

Our flat sentence and question sentence pattern is as follows:

German Flat Sentence: DAS + Ä°ST / SÄ°ND + EÄ°N / EÄ°NE + A NAME

German Question Cümlesi: İST / SİND + DAS + EİN / EİNE + A NAME

Here, we see that the ist or sind words, which are determined according to the fact that the object is singular or plural, have been replaced by das term meaning this.

For example:

Das ist ein Kind (this is a boy)
ist das ein Kind? (is this a child?)

Das ist ein Haus (this is a house)
ist das ein Haus? (this is a house)

ist das ein stuhl? => Is this a chair?
ist das ein vogel? Is this a bird?
ist das ein glas? => is this a glass?

.
For a more detailed explanation and examples, let's watch the video questionnaire called German questionnaires.
