Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Start Deutsch The 1 exam requires a very simple level of language knowledge. The exam corresponds to the first stage of the six-level competence rating (A1) of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
For example,
you can understand simple questions, instructions and messages in daily life, as well as messages on the answering machine, public announcements and brief speeches,
you can get information that is important to you from written short messages, public information plates and small advertisements,
you can tell and understand the numbers, quantities, times and prices,
you can fill out simple and personal information forms,
you can write short personal messages,
you can introduce yourself during the conversation and answer simple questions about your personality,
you can formulate and respond to routine questions and answers in daily life.
